Nazareth is one of the most beautiful and holy cities for Christians around the world. Christians make the pilgrimage to the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth, as well as to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.
In the Church of the Annunciation (Bishara in Arabic), the Virgin Mary saw the Angel Gabriel, who told her of the conception of her child, Jesus. Then, Jesus spent 30 years of his life in the city and was called the Nazarene. Because of the religious importance of the city, many cities around the world were called and named after its name "Nazareth", in addition to schools, universities, hospitals, monasteries, and churches that share the name.
Here the name of Nazareth is repeated eight times in Tuluth script, according to the number of successive ages over its rule and the number of surrounding towns. The poem featured is in Diwany style and is entitled "I am from this city" (أنا من هذي المدينة) by the late Palestinian poet, and the Mayor of Nazareth, Tawfiq Ziyad.
